Chameleon story

I had a pet chameleon and every time I would get him out to play I would place him on my bed
comforter and he would turn the same shade of teal that it was. He was the coolest pet. He would actually chase a string (sort of the way a cat would.) He would like it when I would boil rocks (not too hot) and he would just lay in his cage and bask on it.

Pet care sites say not to do this, but my lizard loved it! I swear he would be smiling! I would give him water by placing ice cubes on the top of his screen cage. The ice would melt and then drip down simulating rain or possibly the morning dew. He would not drink water out of his bowl. I kept
foliage in his cage and had a layer of sand and wood chips above that.

I was told not to handle him too much, but he did love playing with that string!
