Daytime gecko nights

My Lizard Prefers being Warm. I love reptiles and despite protests from my mother, I got a couple of diurnal Geckos (daytime geckos) as my new pets. The best thing about diurnal lizards is that they fit in well with your schedule and don?t keep creating noises late at night. They generally stop their activities, when their lights are turned off but you should make sure to provide some heating system for them at night. One of my friend?s lizards died because he used to turn off the lights without any other source of heat and later realized that the sudden drop in temperature at night proved fatal to his lizard.

I have an ultraviolet lighting system that I switch on when I am switching off the lights of my room for them to maintain their body temperature. You should always keep in mind that lizards are one of the reptiles that find it really difficult to manage their body temperatures in a different surrounding and most of them whether diurnal or nocturnal can?t take sudden temperature changes.
