Gecko in Madagascar

Myself and my girlfriend had been staying with a friend of ours in Madagascar. We'd been in their house about an hour before, to my girlfriends horror, we were introduced to his pet gecko. Needless to say the two weren't in the same room very often but she gradually started to get used to him and in a few days really didn't mind him at all - that was until the last night. Staying where we were mosquito nets were a necessity at night and we were sleeping in different rooms. I remember being woken at half five in the
morning by the loudest scream I'd ever heard - blood curdling. I ran out and into my girlfriend's room half expecting to see a burglar, but no. Lying on top of her mosquito net, right above her head was the gecko. I found it quite hard not to laugh (but I never told her that).
