The Chuckwalla lizard lives in such hot dry conditions, feeding off of plant life and random flowers. The desert iguana also inhabits such inhospitable environments. Both of these lizards brumate (hibernate) for roughly 5 months during the winter, for their food -even vegetation tend to die off during the cooler season.
